Construction of custom made Mid Century Dining Table Danish Deluxe design

Purpose:

We are have completed design phase and the purpose of this link is to confirm the order to proceed into the delivery phase. In order to commit to the Delivery phase we require 1.3 and 1.4 to be completed by the customer (as below). 

All designs, specifications including measurements, materials, etc have also been articulated in the previous Design phase link and act as the contract between the customer, cabinet maker (Ross Thompson) and project manager (Vintage Luxury by George Parker). Please refer to the below for additional information

Timeline:

  1. Design phase:
    1. Two x 3D drawings - Completed
    2. Customer to confirm measurements (tape on floor in room and/or VR feature) - Completed
    3. Next steps email with new link (Commitment of order) - Open Amanda
    4. 1st payment milestone of order (refer to email) - Open Amanda
  2. Delivery Phase:
    1. Construction including minor revisions (upload 2D or CAD technical drawings) - Open Ross
    2. Updates monthly during construction (photos and videos will be added to next steps link) - Open Ross
    3. Final completion - Photos, videos, and customer approval - Open Ross then Amanda
  3. Close phase:
    1. Wrap up and secure - Open George and Ross
    2. Courier pickup and deliver - Open Amanda
    3. On site installation - Open Amanda 
    4. 2nd payment milestone of order - Open Amanda 

Outstanding decisions to be made (from Design Phase carried over to Delivery Phase):

  1. List of timber, grain cut and finish - Open George and Ross
  2. Height of underneath table top (to ensure carvers don't hit the reinforced lip) Open George and Ross then Amanda
  3. Can Amanda fit this table as is in her doors, walls and house or does it need to be disassembled then reassembled - Amanda

Timeline:

We are estimating up to 12-16 weeks duration (end of June/July) to complete the Delivery and Close phase

Manufacturing Warranty and Defects:

Custom Dining Table Warranty & Defects Terms and Conditions
This outlines the warranty and defect policy for this custom made dining table ("Table") provided by Ross Thompson furniture ("We," "Us," or "Our").  Please read these terms carefully before accepting delivery of your Table. Vintage Luxury by George Parker is acting as a Project Management function and is not held liable for any manufacturing Warranty and Defects that is unlikely to occur

1. Warranty:

We warrant your custom-made Table against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 year(s) from the date of delivery. This warranty covers structural defects that impair the Table's intended use, such as:

Significant cracking or splitting of the tabletop (excluding natural wood movement).

Loose or broken joinery

Instability or wobbling due to manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, and minor imperfections.
  2. Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper care.
  3. Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  4. Natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture. Wood is a natural material and these variations are to be expected and are not considered defects. 
  5. Changes in the finish over time due to use and exposure to light.
  6. Damage caused by repairs or modifications attempted by anyone other than us or our authorized representatives.

2. Defects:


Upon delivery, please inspect your Table carefully for any defects (after you have removed the protective layers).  If you find any defects covered by this warranty, you must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) within 1 hour of delivery, providing clear photographs and a detailed description of the issue.


3. Remedies:


If a defect covered by this warranty is identified and reported within the specified timeframe, we will, at our discretion, either:

1. Repair the defective Table at no cost to you.
2. Replace the defective Table with a new Table of comparable design and quality. If the original wood species is no longer available, a similar substitute will be used.
3. Issue a refund for the purchase price of the Table, less any reasonable deductions for use or depreciation.
4. We will arrange for the collection and return of the Table for repair or replacement.  You are responsible for ensuring the Table is properly packaged for return shipping.


4. Exclusions and Limitations:


This warranty is the exclusive warranty provided for your custom-made Table and replaces all other warranties, express or implied.  We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the Table, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.   


5. Governing Law:


These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia specifically ACL.
