The body made from a cleverly curved piece of ply, this is the ‘baby’ of Grant Featherston’s contour range – his armless dining chair. It shares the trademark maple timber X base with all of his early 50s classics – a good looking chair with a nice ‘live’ back giving plenty of comfort. This set has stood the test of time in all original condition (except the fabric which will be reupholstered in a color and fabric of your choice) and the wood teak frame has been sanded and oil waxed several times for a lovely golden brown color. These are authentic vintage chairs displaying a superior level of quality and design. They’re a fantastic design distinctly 50’s but they’d also look great in a modern space. The shape of the back and front (along with the cute 4 or 5 buttons) and the sweeping lines in the legs section looks amazing. This set ticks all the boxes stunning form, very comfortable, unique styling and durable construction.

Overall Condition:

Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the legs/frames, does not rock, no structural damage evident, sturdy as she can get. The back rests are solid as are the seat/cushion all comfortable with the appropriate padding in place
